The agency headquarters is now in Santa Monica, California. The Phelps Group works with clients in the creation and execution of brand strategy, advertising, public relations and promotions delivered via Internet, print, broadcast and face-to-face events. Its clients include City of Hope, DIRECTV, Dunn-Edwards Paints, Malaysia Airlines, Panasonic, Tahiti Tourisme, Whole Foods Markets & World Shoe Association.

Founder Joe Phelps is known in the marketing communications industry for his emphasis on working with deserving clients, defined as those whose products enrich people’s lives, and fostering a healthy work environment through open communications, flexible hours, catered lunches, yoga clinics and educational seminars. Most notable is The Phelps Group’s multi-disciplined style of communication, which encourages candid, clear and constructive feedback to & from all levels and across all skill sets. Joe Phelps has gained notice as a critic against traditional corporate hierarchies for professional service firms, instead endorsing that teams be client-centered & draw on the brainpower of the entire company and be accountable for their own goals. In April 2003, Joe published his philosophies into a book entitled Pyramids Are Tombs.

[edit] China Rohs

Per new regulations all items shipped to China need to be marked as to whether the items contained in the box are compliant or non-compliant. The Electronic Information Products (EIP) logo or other label is used to mark parts and assemblies that do not contain unacceptable amounts of substances identified by Administrative Measure on the Control of Pollution Caused by Electronic Information Products, also known as China ROHS, as environmentally safe.

Units that contain hazardous substances are marked with the Electronic Information Products (EIP) logo including an Environmental Protection Use Period (EPUP) value in years.
