The Golem and the Dancer is the sequel to The Golem (monster of fate) Instead of continuing the golem legend, however, the film takes place as if the first film was just that: a film. Made in 1917, the budget was poor, and the film itself was not very entertaining.

{{spoiler}} Paul Wegner (playing himself) attends a showing of his film (The Golem) Here we are treated to a clip from the film when the golem is awakened. A lady named Helga (played by Salmonova) is enchanted by Paul Wegner's acting and swoons for his every step. After the movie, she admits to a friend that she loves the golem. So much, in fact, that she keeps a life-size statue of him in her apartment. Wegner overhears this confession and gets an idea. He dons his costume and heads to Helga's suite. once there, he brines the pageboy into letting him inside. He finds the statue and replaces it with himself. Helga arrives and walks up to her "statue" and talks to it (apparently a frequent hobby) making herself clear that her greatest wish is that the statue would come to life as it did in the movie. Her fantasy is suddenly realised as Wegner re-acts the famous scene, comming to life to meet his love. Just as it seems that his plan will suceed, the pageboy arrives and alerts Helga. Now everyone is mad at Wegner. The End.

Meant to be a comedy, the film proved to be unfunny. Lack of intrest in the film meant lack of preservation. Consequently, the film is generally regarded as lost.

Stillingfleet is a small village located approximately 7 miles to the south of the City of York. Its most notable feature is the church of St Helens which features a church door dating from Viking times. The church door still has the nails with which Viking skins were nailed to the door as a warning to those who would aid the Norse raiders.

Additionally Stillingfleet coal mine was part of the Gasgoigne Wood coilliery system which included the Escrick and Wistow mines as the most advanced coal mining operation in the UK.

Carolyn Herzig was born July 16, 1983 in Red Deer, Alberta (Canada). She later moved to The Colony, TX (a suburb of Dallas) with her parents and older sister. Ultimately, her family grew to eight members, Carolyn being the second oldest of six children. She attended all twelve years of school in The Colony, graduating early from The Colony High School shortly after turning 17. It was then that she started getting into trouble.

Carolyn experimented with drugs for the next few years, favoring speed and cocaine. These habits made her college career difficult and alienated her from her family. Carolyn's recently deceased father (who died of brain cancer in 2001) gave her just one more reason to withdraw from the world and venture into the drug scene. Before it was to late, Carolyn straightened out and at the age of 23 received her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from the University of North Texas.

While applying to grad schools, Carolyn had a sudden change of heart and decided to pursue what she has always loved: beauty. She currently attends the Cosmetology Career Center in Carrollton, TX (a Paul Mitchell partner school) and will graduate in June 2007.

At press time, Carolyn is engaged to P.J. Vironda, whom she has been with since August of 2004. Her interests, aside from hair and P.J., include kickboxing, drawing, lake activities and drinking.

Coffee Housinte Katha or Story of Coffee House is an alternative history book telling the thrilling story of the Indian Coffee House movement. It is in Malayalam, the regional language of Kerala, the home state of legendary communist leader of India AKG or A. K. Gopalan, the founder and leader of the ICH movement. And published by the Current Books, Thrissur, the famous publishing house in Malayalam.

The author is Nadakkal Parameswaran Pillai or Coffee House Pillai. He is one among the pioneers of the movement. The book is the only printed document about the ICH movement, the largest worker cooperative of the world. And it became one of the best sellers of 2006 in Malayalam.

Dylan Thomas Andrews is the son of supermodel Stephanie Seymour and guitarist Tommy Andrews. They were married in 1989. Dylan was born in 1990 but his parents divorced shortly after.

Stephanie Seymour appeared in the videos for Don't Cry and November Rain by Guns N' Roses. She soon started dating lead singer Axl Rose. Axl became very close with Dylan and became a father figure for Dylan. Axl and Stephanie got engaged in 1992 and Dylan continued to grow closer to Axl.

Though they got married in the November Rain video, Axl and Stephanie never got married in real life. After the break up, Axl was not allowed to contact Dylan. He was told that Axl abandoned him. Dylan appears in the Guns N' Roses music video for Esranged as the little boy holding Axl's hand. Parts of the video is meant to communicate to Dylan. The song "TWAT", short for There Was A Time, on the upcoming album Chinese Democracy is meant also to be a message for Dylan.

The author of the authentic history of Indian Coffee House movement, the largest worker cooperative of the world. And the co-founder of India Coffee House movement in Kerala with Advocate T. K. Krishnan, a Communist Leader from Thrissur. Pikllai was also a close associate of A. K. Gopalan, the father of the ICH movement.

Pillai led the ICH co-operative society at Thrissur for three decades. Later this became the largest ICH society in India. He served the society as founder secretary, sales manager, chief sales officer and chief executive officer. He was the founder secretary of the ICH society of Palakkad also .

Pillai is hailing from Pallippuram, a hamlet of Alapuzha, one of the Communist Strongholds of Kerala. He is a dropout from school after completion of 4th standard. After a long wandering he became a last grade employee of Coffe House at Eranakulam run by Coffee Board in mid 1940s. His monthly salary was Rupees Six then. Before this he had to work as cook, water boy, head load worker, coir factory worker, advocate's clark and manager. Later he became the leader of India Coffee Board Labour Union and a Communist.

After the clousure of Coffee Houses in mid 1950s it is he who delegated to build up Worker's Coffee Houses in Kerala by the Union. And the later is history.

Rick Spellman is a tattoo artist from south LA. Rick Spellman has done work on Glenn Danzig aswell as his former bandmates Eerie Von, Jerry Only, Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein, and friend Henry Rollins. Danzig has a large tattoo on his left arm that depicts skeletons in a bonfire feast, a bat, and a wolf with the words "Wolf's Blood" emblazoned around it. Most of these tattoos are pictures from his various Misfits and Samhain album covers. His lower back features a tattoo that says "Devilman" in Japanese characters. The RAHI (Recovering and Healing from Incest) Foundation is a support centre, based in New Delhi, India. It is the only centre of its kind in the country that specializes in working with adult women survivors of incest and childhood sexual abuse and offers services that are uniquely important to their recovery process.

Ercole Spada (August 26, 1938) is an Italian automobile designer. His most notable designs were made in the [1960s]], for the Zagato design studio house, where Spada served in a position of chief stylist. During this period, some of the most notable sportcars made by Aston Martin, Ferrari, [Maserati]], as well as Alfa Romeo, Abarth and Lancia were clothed by Spada's designs.

Spada earned a degree in Industrial Engineering from the all'istituto tecnico Feltrinelli in 1956. Following a military service, he joined Zagato during [February]] 1960. The first design by Spada was to be the striking Aston Martin DB4 Z. Many other instantly-classic designs soon follow, often becoming cornerstones of automotive innovative design. Spada's designs were acknowledged as seminal by other designers. A well publicized case is that of the Mazda MX-3, which aimed to recapture the magic of the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTZ, more than thirty years after the original design was createad. Shortly before leaving Zagato, Spada designed one of the most modern looking cars of the era, the Alfa Romeo Junior Z.

Spada joined Ford in 1970 to become chief designer at the Italian Ghia design house. This led to the creation of the ill-fated Ford GT70, which was not produced at the last moment.

After leaving Ford and following a short stay in Audi, Spada joined BMW design center as chief stylist in 1976. During his stay with BMW, Spada created two major all-new designs, the BMW E32 7-series (1987–1994), and the E34 5-series (1989-1996). Both embraced similar classic yet progressive lines, contributing to the success of the German company.

In 1983 Spada returns to lead an Italian design house, this time I.DE.A. where he designs a strings of compact and luxury cars, for Fiat – the groundbreaking Tipo and Tempra siblings, the Lancia Dedra and [[Delta II] as well as the Kappa. Other projects include the Alfa Romeo 155 and the Daihatsu Move. During his stay in I.DE.A. Spada had competed and won over major design contracts from Fiat, putting him in direct competition with his fellow Italian design maverick, Giorgetto Giugiaro, born on the same year and on the same month as Spada.

Returning to Zagato in 1992, Spada's return led to the introduction of the Ferrari FZ93, based on a regular 512 TR mechanics.

Currently, Spada has joined his son, Paulo Spada, to create Spadaconcept, a new design house aimed at automotive and industrial design.

Francis Minturn (Duke) Sedgwick, Artist, Sculptor and Rancher

Born in New York on March 13, 1904, Sedgwick was the son of the noted historian and author, Henry Dwight Sedgwick, and Sarah May Minturn. An uncle, Ellery Sedgwick, edited the Atlantic Monthly magazine from 1908 to 1938.

Sedgwick came to Santa Barbara in early infancy, laving with his family at the former Ewen MacVeagh home, 2565 Puesta del Sol Rd. in Mission Canyon, a landmark which was recently sold to the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History.

As a youth, Sedgwick attended Groton School in Massachusetts and Cate School in Carpinteria. He graduated in three years from Harvard University in 1926. During his collegiate years he acquired the nickname of "Duke" which followed him through adulthood. His talents in the fields of painting and sculpture were first revealed during his Harvard years.

After postgraduate work at Trinity College, Cambridge, in England, and the Harvard Business School, Sedgwick embarked on what he supposed would be a lifelong career in banking, his mentor being Clarence Dill, father of the undersecretary of state. He worked in banks in Berlin Paris, and London in the field of international finance.

ART STUDIES

After three years of banking, he returned to New York in 1932 to study painting under DeWitt Lochmann, who was president of the National Academy of Art at that time. subsequently Sedgwick went to Flushing, Long Island, to study sculpturing for five years in the studios of Hermon MacNeil, who executed the statue of Washington at the Washington monument and the heroic bas reliefs on the pediment of the Supreme Court Building.

Sedgwick was married in 1929 to Miss Alice de Forest, of a prominent New York family.

Just prior to World War II, Sedgwick purchased a 25 acre lemon ranch on Cathedral Oaks road near tucker's Grove in the Goleta Valley as a wartime home for his wife and children, who eventually numbered eight. He also bought the historic Corral de Quati ranch at the south end of Foxen Canyon in north central Santa Barbara County, one of the original land grants dating from Mexican times.

The Sedgwicks retained ownership of the Goleta Valley property until November 1957, when they sold it to Mrs Harriet F Saperstein. The Corral de Quati Rancho was sold in part to Simon and Brown, operators of feed lots at Betteravia and Cuyama Valley and the remained to Harold H. Davis of Santa Barbara.

In July, 1952, the Sedgwicks purchased the 6,000 acre Rancho La Laguna from Evan S. Pillsbury III. It was Sedgwick's home until the time of his death.

Duke Sedgwick was a working rancher as well as a professional sculptor. Working at studios on both his Goleta Valley and Laguna Rancho properties, he turned out sculpture commissioned by individuals, institutions and corporations all over the over the world.

BEST-KNOWN WORKS

Among his best-known works of art are the Laurel Hill Memorial monument in San Francisco; the Dumbarton Oaks "Pan"; the American Field Service monument in London; the equestrian statue at Earl Warren Showgrounds; Saint Barbara, in the patio of the Santa Barbara Historical Society Museum; busts of James Conant, former president of Harvard, Thomas M Storke, former University of California regent, Judge Learned Hand, and Robert Mc Clean, owner of newspapers in Philadelphia and Santa Barbara; the cowboy bas relief in the corridor of the Hollister building; St. Francis, at the convent of Christ the King, Sycamore Canyon; the Pioneer Monument and Robert Frost memorial, San Francisco; the conquistador at Cabrillo Senior High School in Lompoc and many others in Massachusetts, England and France. He had lately been commissioned to do a statue of St. Ignatius Loyola.

One of his proudest achievements was his bust of Clark Kerr, former president of UC. Not yet cast, although completed before his death, was a bust of Samuel b. Mosher, a member of the UC Regents.

Mr. Sedgwick's last public appearance was Aug. 10, for the unveiling of his life-size statue of St Francis, receiving the Stigmata, the first such sculpture ever placed in the cloistered patio of the Old Mission. It was his and his wife's gift memorialize two deceased sons, Robert Minturn and Francis Minturn Sedgwick.

TWO NOVELS

Turning his hand to authorship, Mr. Sedgwick produced two novels, "The Rim," the story of a sculptor published in 1945, and "Power and Purity", the saga of an international banker, ;published in 1963. While each of these titles enjoyed some success, the author admitted that literature was not his forte, although he enjoyed it more, the said, than either sculpturing or painting.

An art collector from early manhood, in 1960 he presented the Francis Minturn Sedgwick Collection of Renaissance and baroque old master paintings to the University of California at Santa Barbara. He had started this collection of 20 canvases, by French, Italian, Dutch, Flemish and German artists, at the age of 25.

In addition to his art collection, the "rancher-artist" while serving as vice chairman of the UCSB Art Affiliates, was instrumental in acquiring for UCSB the fabulous Morgenroth Collection of 178 medals and 258 plaquettes dating from the 15th and 18th centuries.

HONORARY DEGREE

On April 3, 1967, Mr. Sedgwick, together with Prime Minster Lester Pearson of Canada and Prime Minister Hashim Maiwandwal of Afghanistan, received an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degree from UCSB, during the 99th charter anniversary observances.

While no intellectual snob, Mr. Sedgwick deplored modern "pop art", "Junkyard sculpture" and psychedelic faddism. He credited the development of photography for the decline in the art of painting and criticized art museum directors for neglecting to distinguish, for the public, art which was fine from art which was bogus.

His interest covered the full spectrum of music, the arts and education and was keenest in the field of civic affairs. At the time of his death he was a member of the board of trustees of Reed College in Portland Oregon. He was also a director ????(illegible copy)??????era Assn., appointed to the California Arts Commission, a director of the Santa Barbara Museum of Art and a life member of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. He was a past president of the board of trustees of Cate School, a former board ember of the Santa Barbara Symphony Assn., former secretary-treasurer of the Santa Barbara County Farm Bureau, and past president of the Citizens Planning Assn. of Santa Barbara.

He was a member of the Somerset Club of Boston, the Knickerbocker, Century, River and Harvard Clubs, all of New York; and the university Club of San Francisco.

PRIVATE GIFT

In late June of this year, Mr. Sedgwick and his wife made the largest single private gift in the history of the University of California at Santa Barbara, when the deeded a 51 per cent undivided interest in their La Laguna ranch to the UC Board of Regents.

In his letter of June 9, 1967, offering the property to the University Regents, he wrote: "Feeling a deep affection for the land we live on, some 6,000 acres as varied and lovely as ever God created, and taking a profound interest in UCSB (about a half-hour's travel away) it has long been my wife's and my intention to unite these two under your management. Indeed, seven years ago in our wills we bequeathed the ranch to the University. However we now desire to give our land to the University so that the use thereof may begin immediately."

Eventually the entire ranch was obtained by the University of California at Santa Barbara, the fifth reserve in Santa Barbara county.

Mr. Sedgwick had great dignity, but with it an easy friendliness and rapport with all ages. He had a ready story for all occasions, drawing frequently on his vast acquaintanceship with my eminent men. The Sedgwick table, led by "Duke" was at once stimulating and witty, and he loved nothing better than to put his young friends on the spot--in a nice way--with a teasing and humorous quip.

Colonel William Moultrie commissioned Francis Marion and other notable southern officers to recruit soldiers. The regiment's allegiance was to God, Jesus, and country, and fought in such notable battles as Fort Moultrie, 3 sieges of Charles Town, SC, Stono Ferry, Savannah, and Eutaw Springs. The regiment was captured at the last siege of Charleston in 1780. It was later reformed through the geurilla actions of Francis Marion, and disbanded in 1783.

Huginn empezó su carrera de "Héroe" como Espadachín, y cuando Huginn estaba por terminar una quest que era para destruir a un Necromancer y salvar un Attica pues ésta Attica fué con él y empezó a buscar un nuevo camino, el camino de la invocación... Huginn empezaba a inclinarse por la invocación, pero no dejó de lado las espadas, sino que combinaba sus habilidades...

Tiempo después, esa Attica al fin pudo darse a conocer ante Huginn y éste tubo control sobre ella... pues su fé era suficiente para que aquella Attica pudiera vivir dentro de él; En ese entonces ya era conocido como Huginn El Espadachin Summoner.

Pasaron los años y Huginn ayudó a una amiga en un parto, en una cueva, perseguidos por soladdos de Factory, Huginn, con su espada bastarda cortó el cordón umbilical y heroicamente ayudó a CAtherine a tener una hija en una cueva; y desde entonces Huginn fué llamado "Huginn, El Espadachin Summoner Partero"

Complementary and Alternative Medicine is a term historically born in USA and UK. Otehr European and non-European countries did not have an equivalent term.

The term is indeed very debated within the scientific arena.

NCCAM defines in US CAM a group of diverse medical and health care systems, practices, and products that are not presently considered to be part of conventional medicine. While some scientific evidence exists regarding some CAM therapies, for most there are key questions that are yet to be answered through well-designed scientific studies--questions such as whether these therapies are safe and whether they work for the diseases or medical conditions for which they are used.

The list of what is considered to be CAM changes continually, as those therapies that are proven to be safe and effective become adopted into conventional health care and as new approaches to health care emerge.

Ther two terms "complementary" and "alternative" do not mena the same things, since: 1. Complementary medicine is used together with conventional medicine. An example of a complementary therapy is using aromatherapy to help lessen a patient's discomfort following surgery. 2.Alternative medicine is used in place of conventional medicine. An example of an alternative therapy is using a special diet to treat cancer instead of undergoing surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy that has been recommended by a conventional doctor.

NCCAM classifies CAM therapies into five categories, or domains:

1. Alternative Medical Systems

Alternative medical systems are built upon complete systems of theory and practice. Often, these systems have evolved apart from and earlier than the conventional medical approach used in the United States. Examples of alternative medical systems that have developed in Western cultures include homeopathic medicine and naturopathic medicine. Examples of systems that have developed in non-Western cultures include traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurveda.

2. Mind-Body Interventions

Mind-body medicine uses a variety of techniques designed to enhance the mind's capacity to affect bodily function and symptoms. Some techniques that were considered CAM in the past have become mainstream (for example, patient support groups and cognitive-behavioral therapy). Other mind-body techniques are still considered CAM, including meditation, prayer, mental healing, and therapies that use creative outlets such as art, music, or dance.

3. Biologically Based Therapies

Biologically based therapies in CAM use substances found in nature, such as herbs, foods, and vitamins. Some examples include dietary supplements,3 herbal products, and the use of other so-called natural but as yet scientifically unproven therapies (for example, using shark cartilage to treat cancer).

4. Manipulative and Body-Based Methods

Manipulative and body-based methods in CAM are based on manipulation and/or movement of one or more parts of the body. Some examples include chiropractic or osteopathic manipulation, and massage.

5. Energy Therapies

Energy therapies involve the use of energy fields. They are of two types:

Biofield therapies are intended to affect energy fields that purportedly surround and penetrate the human body. The existence of such fields has not yet been scientifically proven. Some forms of energy therapy manipulate biofields by applying pressure and/or manipulating the body by placing the hands in, or through, these fields. Examples include qi gong, Reiki, and Therapeutic Touch.

Bioelectromagnetic-based therapies involve the unconventional use of electromagnetic fields, such as pulsed fields, magnetic fields, or alternating-current or direct-current fields.

Mysore VaasudEvaacaarya - (1865-1961) His intial musical training was from Veena Padmanabhayya of Mysore, but his musical lineage can be traced to Saint Tyagaraja through Manambuchavadi Venkatasubbayyar and Patnam Subramania Iyer. As a teenager, his fame reached the Maharaja of Mysore, who had him sent to Tiruvayyar to learn music under Patnam Subramanya Iyer. He learned music there and then returned to Mysore and was appointed astaana vidwan at the royal court. Towards the end of his life, he was invited by Rukmini Arundale to teach at Kalakshetra and came to Madras. Eventually he became the principal of the school of arts. His contemporaries at Kalakshetra included Tiger Varadachariar, Veena Krishnamachariar and Mazhavaraya-nendal Subbarama Bhagavatar.

He has more than 200 compositions and published 150 himself. His compositions include pada varnams, taana varnams, kritis, javalis, tillanas and ragamalikas, and he composed in both chaste Telugu and Sanskrit. He used common ragas and popularized ragas like abheri, behaag, and khamas with his famous compositions, but he also used unusual ragas like megharanjani, sunaadavinodini, pushpalatika, and sudda saalavi. His compositions were set in various talas. He is well known for the citta swaras he composed for his kritis.

Around 1930's, Maharajapuram Vishwanatha Iyer (Maharajapuram Santhanam's father) rendered Vasudevacharya's kriti- 'Brochevarevarura' in Khamas with much polish in his concert. Vasudevacharya, who happened to be at the concert remarked to Vishwanatha Iyer "My composition like a simple girl was metamorphosed into a beautiful damsel. That is how well you beautified the composition with your embellishments". The greats like Chembai (Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar), GNB (G.N.Balasubramanian), MS (M.S.Subbulakshmi), Dr.M.Balamuralikrishna, Maharajapuram Santhanam, K.J.Yesudas & many other stalwarts of carnatic music have popularised many compositions of Vasudevacharya.

He lived a complete & contended life for 96 years.

Jorge Fernandez of the former BCS Champion Miami Hurricanes is not only an outstanding Quarterback, he is a well rounded young man and exceptional human being. Currently under center on the practice squad team, Fernandez competes on a daily basis with All-American defenders such as Brandon Meriweather, Baraka Atkins, and Devin Hester. He is a team player who has no problem sacrificing his body for the good of the team. He distributes his passes evenly between the cornerbacks and safeties and takes big hits from linemen and linebackers. By providing this great service, Fernandez insures that his teammates are prepared for battle on Saturdays.

Jorge attended high school at Westminster Christian in Miami, Florida. He Started at quarterback all through high school and was selected as the All-Dade quarterback in 2003. He was invited to the Larry Coker Miami Football Camp in 2004, in which he recieved the MVP award. His skill and success led him to be named to the Rivals 100 list of prospects. No only did he star on the Football team, he also was a pitcher on the baseball team for three years. Fernandez has a brilliant mind, as he graduated with a 3.9 G.P.A.

The very essence of Sinte Gleska University stems from its location on the Rosebud Reservation. From the beginning the founders of Sinte Gleska University sought to establish a tribal higher education institution based on the philosophy of tribal control and tribal self-determination. An important premise of this philosophy was to effect change for our tribal nation.

Today, in the 21st century, Sinte Gleska University remains committed to its earliest purposes: to preserve and teach Lakota culture, history and language to promote innovative and effective strategies to address the myriad of social and economic concerns confronting the Sicangu Lakota Oyate.
