[edit] Ziebel
Ziebel is an innovative group of persons from many cultures working together, finding quick and efficient methods to solve problems or optimize traditional methods. When a good and efficient solution to a problem, or a better optimized result is obtained, it is referred to as a Ziebel: E.g. "We understood that we did not have the good performance that we knew had to be possible, so we did a ziebel.", or "Instead of waiting around for something to happen by itself, we did a ziebel".

[edit] Megadeuce
Megadeuce
Also Mega-Deuce
A "Megadeuce" is a slang term refering to a piece of freshly excreted human fecal matter that is equivalent or excessive of 20 inches long, or comprised of 5 or more seperate, formidable pieces. Similiarly, it can simply be described as a huge amount of defecation that was ejected in a single sitting.
Example of usage: 1: Man, I wouldn't go in there, I just dropped a MEGADEUCE, and it's peeling the paint off the walls as we speak. 2: Hold up, before I do anything, I gotta take a fatty megadeuce.

[edit] Martin-Baker M.B.7
Martin-Baker performed in-house studies of aircraft projects beyond that of the M.B.5 fighter of 1945. These were not to any official British specification but rather to test out different ideas concerning both high-speed flight and the development of aircraft escape systems- especially ejection seats. In late 1945 a high-speed interceptor concept was contemplated with the intention of mounting a mammoth 32 cylinder ultimate project Rolls-Royce RR-Guinevere "X-engine" of 4,400 hp driving a 6-blade superprop. The "X-engine" concept was envisioned as four banks of eight cylinders each with twin exhaust ports on either side of the long bullet-shaped forward fuselage. This configuration of engine had already been suggested for a super heavy tank program but ruled out as too exotic with only one quarter of the hp output. Estimated maximum speed for the long nose machine would be well over 550 mph! The aircraft was to be covered in a black aerosheen gloss finish giving the concept aircraft the nickname "Black Bess". Small flight models were made but the concept was abandoned in 1947 with the further development of both British jet aircraft and Rolls-Royce centrifugal jet engines. The "Black Bess" name was attributed not only to the black aerosheen gloss coating for speed and tremendous hp of the engine but due to the fact that the engineers scoffed at the estimates that this aircraft could attain 550 mph in level flight and easily Mach 1 in a "short dive"- which was said to be just as "impossible" as highwayman robber Dick Turpin's "legendary" ride with his horse Black Bess! In almost all of Martin-Baker's historical references both the earlier M.B.6 WW2 jet aircraft project with an odd spring-loaded swing-arm ejection seat and the fantastic M.B.7 concept are omitted because they had little chance of success and were just novelties. Martin-Baker is known for the incredible performance aircraft M.B.5 (Britain's Mustang) and for developing zero/zero ejection seats.

[edit] Jennifer Stewart
Hi folks, anyone here who is able and willing to add some stuff or start the English version? The Germans need more facts.Thank you. Greetings 195.93.60.136 09:41, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
Jennifer Stewart (* 29.

[edit] David Tepper
David Tepper whos's full name is David Alan Tepper born on September 11 1957, is a speculator, investor, successful hedge fund manager{{ref|II04rank}} of Appaloosa Management, L.P., he is also a philanthropist and his investment speciality is distressed companies.{{ref|moneycnn}} David A. Tepper School of Business is named after him.
David is a “distressed-debt specialist”, was once (2003) considered to be “the hottest investor on wall street” {{ref|moneycnn}} and was one of the top 10 money earners in Institutional Investor’s Alpha’s Ranking of the world’s 25 Highest-Paid Hedge Fund Managers 2004. {{ref|II04rank}}He ranked number 2 on the same list in 2003 {{ref|II03rank}}
[edit] Early Years
Tepper was born in Pittsburgh’s East End and was raised there by a very close-nit family, he is the second of three children, during his adolescence David spent a lot of time with his maternal Grandfather Benjamin Tauberg as a coincidence he shares his birthday ( September 11 ) with him, the two were huge fans of Baseball specially the Pittsburgh Pirates. “I loved baseball,” Tepper said. “I lived and died for Roberto Clemente. I knew every player in the major league. You could pull a player’s card, and I could tell you the statistics.”
Coming from a neighbourhood like Stanton Heights taught David to stick close to his father Harry and mother Roberta. His father was a bright accountant with a modestly size firm and his mother was a homemaker but decided to become an Elementary School teacher an taught at different Public Schools in the area.
David and his family lived very modestly in a four-bedroom plain redbrick Rowhouse or Terraced house a type of house where a row of identical or mirror-image houses share side walls.
David attended Peabody High School, he was good at maths but never got an A, he would ask lots of questions but never studied too much, he did some Advance Placement courses in Science and History earning the highest score in his class on the AP History Exam.
Math was a very easy subject for him, he would memorize Baseball stats with ease, so he was comfortable with numbers but it did not translate into academic performance. His hobbies at the time were collecting baseball cards, and rare coins he also played Football and Little League.
[edit] High School and Junior College Years
David always showed an interest in his father’s investments and the numbers associated with them, his father made investing in the markets just a hobby and he would share his ]]knowledge]] with the whole family over dinner. The elder Tepper would give his son some shares and he showed immediate interest. His first shares were of “Pennsylvania Engineering Co” and the soon to be bankrupt “Career Academies”.
While in High School he had a hand at Intramural football but settled for acting because he did not like the condition of the football field. Already a senior he played ‘’the father’’ in the play Bye Bye Birdie, David won best actor award that year and liked being the star attraction he even received a standing ovation at the awards ceremony.
The University of Pittsburgh would prove a stepping-stone for David, his grades improved ten-fold and he paid his way thru school by working at the fine arts library. He would also dabble a bit in the markets during this time. He would go on to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree ‘’with honors’’ in Economics.
After graduating he opted for the Finance industry and went to work for ‘’Equibank’’ as a Credit Analyst at the bank’s Treasury department; he would not find this job satisfying and in 1980 went for his Graduate Degree from Carnegie Mellon University
[edit] Carnegie Mellon University
Obtained his MBA in 1982
[edit] Career
According to the Financial Times David was the former head of Junk Bond trading at Goldman Sachs{{ref|moneycnn}} Tepper has an uncanny ability to invest in market outside of his expertise; while in 2001 he generated a 61% return by focusing on distressed bonds, in the fourth quarter of 2005 he pursued what he saw as better opportunities in Standard & Poor’s 500 stocks.{{ref|fridson}} He makes significant gains year after year by “investing in the diciest of companies,” such as MCI and Mirant. Investments in Conseco and Marconi also led to huge profits for the company’s hedge funds while Tepper “keeps the market on edge.” {{ref|edu}}
[edit] Philanthropy
In March 19 2003 David announced he would make a single donation of $55m to Carnegie Mellon University’s Business School, {{ref|ft}} this donation was made after being encouraged by Kenneth Dunn his former professor and now Dean of the University. He accepted the suggestion, but made it a “naming-gift” and demanded {{ref|econ}} the schools name be changed to David A. Tepper School of Business.

[edit] Needle ship
In the novel "The Algebraist" by Iain M. Banks, "needle ship" is the term used for a special type of spaceship (usually warships with large crew and cargo capacity) designed for wormhole travel. The name is derived from their shape – needle ships are much longer than they are wide, owing to the fact that "the average 'hole diameter [is] under fifty metres".

[edit] Cyphotilapia frontosa
Frontosa is a fish from Lake Tanganyika. It has black vertical bars adorning a white or blue body. They may have undertones of other colors, adding to the beauty of the species. A large protrusion will form on the posterior portion of the frontosas head, which is more pronounced in the male of the species. It is formed of fatty tissue. Older frontosa can get as large as 12 inches or more. They are open water swimmers. The frontosa is not the largest Lake Tanganyikan fish, this is instead the emperor chiclid.

[edit] Refill
A refill is the (usually free of charge) refilling of one's drink in a bar or restaurant. While common for non-alcoholic beverages in countries such as the United States, the system is virtually unknown in continental Europe, where the phenomenon is seen as a typical example of American culture. A combination with European mentality would probably lead to large families ordering one small drink, then refilling it numerous times.
