User:Arthur Holland
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I imagine the Wikipedia community, and indeed all users of the internet, will be thrilled to learn that I am 33, live in South London, am of Anglo-Dutch descent (with a dash of Scottish and Austrian thrown in for good measure), and am not actually called Arthur. Bet you can't guess what I'm really called.
I will at some stage write a proper user page. For now I shall make do with a list of Good Things and Bad Things.
[edit] Good Things
- P. G. Wodehouse
- Douglas Adams
- Mayonnaise
- Krokets Yum. Especially with mayonnaise.
- Skiing
- New Zealand
- The West Wing
- Broadband internet access. I've only recently made the leap from dial-up, and I can happily report that it's a Very Good Thing Indeed.
- Pork scratchings (sorry).
- Wayne Rooney (see Bad Things).
- Mariella Frostrup's voice.
[edit] Bad Things
- Litter bugs. Don't do it kids!
- People who fail to understand that the left-hand side of the London Underground escalators are for people who want to keep walking.
- 80s TV theme tunes as mobile ring tones.
- Salad cream
- The rather improbable levels of excitement reached by people in adverts for such products as toilet roll, lavatory cleaners, yoghurt, and life insurance.
- Cutting edge fashion. You know what I'm talking about. Yes, you with the Lonsdale boots and the camo pants and the Hoxton fin.
- People who haven't grasped the difference between "there" and "their". And in extreme cases, "they're".
- Wayne Rooney (see Good Things).
- Brian Sewell's voice.
