If you would like to delete this article, it's perfectly OK with me. I hold the copyright on the original article and have permitted its use on Wikipedia for several years.

Frankly, Wikipedia will be that much less of a comprehensive source for biographical information if you insist on deletion. What's more, I'm rapidly tiring of keeping several of my original articles, documented and properly sourced, in your increasingly restricted and highly confrontational encyclopedia. Doubtless, more than 20 of them will soon be attacked for little or no justifiable reason. And I, personally, will do nothing more to defend them as I have for a number of years.

Your policies, though perhaps well-intentioned, are undermining the scope and intent of Wikipedia.

The issue at hand is twofold: are you the copyright holder of this article? (I ask this because a larger question isn't clear: Are you the copyright holder of all content at http://transnational-research.com/?) Is this article licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL)? (And, similarly, is content at http://transnational-research.com/ licensed under the GFDL?) If not, are you willing to do that? (I suggest you read Wikipedia:Text of the GNU Free Documentation License first.) --Iamunknown 16:09, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

DearIamunknown,

You seem like a reasonable person with whom one can discuss clarification of the points involved. The Transnational site is an entirely "open source" site which contains research papers that I have personally written over the last seven or eight years. Clients at various universities in the US, Canada and Asia have paid me to write these papers on their behalf.

I am the sole author of this material, but have not sought to copyright it or protect it under the GFDL ... but am willing to do so, of course.

There is an even larger problem involved, because there are several interconnecting wiki-links to my previous experience in Africa (under "Inga-Shaba" and "Electronic Defense Laboratory" for example) that are tied to the Arthur Madsen BIO-DATA page.

In any case, although I'd like to keep all of my independent and original research projects on Wikipedia, I'll leave it up to you. After several years of periodically having to defend them, I am getting a bit tired of doing so.

Yours sincerely, A.Madsen
