Artyomovsk

Artyomovsk (Russian: Артёмовск) is a town in Kuraginsky District of Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia, located 180 km south of Krasnoyarsk. Population: 2,929 (2002 Census); 4,521 (1989 Census).
It was founded in 1700 as the settlement of Olkhovka (Ольховка). In 1835, it was referred to as a mining settlement of Olkhovsky (Ольховский). It was granted town status in 1939.
