Arturo Rodriguez Fernandez (born 1948) is a Dominican cinema critic widely known as one of the most established in this field. He is recognized by the Dominican Republic society as one of the top scholars of the cinema world.
Some sources have revealed that it is possible that Fernandez has seen more than 15,000 movies. (According to what Fernandez has said, he watches approximately 3 movies per day and he is in his late 50s.)[citation needed] True or not, he continues to enthrall the public because it seems there is no movie unknown to him. In his radio program, La Hora SeƱalada, which broadcasts via la x-102FM from 12 o'clock to 1 PM, he portrays himself as a true and solid scholar.
Fernandez also writes for a local newspaper where his articles can be seen every Saturday.
