Artlounge
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Artlounge is a commercial art gallery located in The Mailbox in Birmingham, England.
The gallery was founded by Veejay Lingiah in 2001 with the intention of "trying to change the way people view and buy art".[1] The gallery is deliberately situated in a shopping area on the basis that "art should share the profile and appeal of areas such as fashion and not be relegated to 'hard to find' side streets."[2]
Since 2006 the staff of the Artlounge have also curated the more exhibition-focussed Three White Walls Gallery located nearby.
