Arthur Lupton

Arthur William Lupton was a first class cricketer who played 104 matches for Yorkshire County Cricket Club from 1908 to 1927. He also played for Marylebone Cricket Club (1909), the Gentlemen of England (1910) and HDG Leveson-Gower's XI (1911).

His overall record was decidedly modest, despite the large number of games that he played. A left handed batsman, he scored 724 runs at 10.34 with a highest score of 43* against Nottinghamshire CCC. He took 14 wickets at 32.5 with his occasional right arm fast medium with a best analysis for 4 for 109 against Cambridge University. He also took 30 catches in the field.

He was born on February 23, 1879 in Horton, Bradford and died on April 14, 1944 at Carlton Manor in Guiseley, Yorkshire.
