Served N. Russian Expeditionary Force, 1918-19; Accountant, Daimler Airway, 1922-24; Chief Accountant, Imperial Airways, 1924-40 also asst. Secretary until 1935 and Secretary of Railway Air Services, 1934-38; transferred to British Overseas Airways Corporation as Administration Director, 1940-42; Director-in-Charge, Propeller and Engine Repair Auxiliary, 1942-43; Regional Director. UK., 1943, Manager, Home Stations and, later, Deputy Regional Director, European Region, 1943-46; Founder Manager, IATA Clearing House, 1947-66.
