Arthur Elgort

Arthur Elgort (b. 1940 in New York) is one of today's most famous[citation needed] fashion photographers, who has become especially known for his work as Vogue photographer. He is an established figure in today's fashion scene and one of the best known fine art photographers.[citation needed]

Arthur Elgort was born and raised in New York, where he studied painting at Hunter College. As a student he found his passion for short movies and photography. Over the past 30 years, Arthur Elgort has become one of the world's most renowned[citation needed] fashion photographers, working for Vogue Magazine and for numerous international fashion labels.

Arthur Elgort's works are exhibited in the permanent collection of the International Center of Photography in New York, in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London as well as in the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Texas.[citation needed]
