Arthur Blessitt

Arthur Blessitt (born October 27, 1940 in Greenville, Mississippi, United States) is a travelling Christian preacher, most famous for being involved with George W. Bush's conversion to Jesus on April 3, 1984.[1] He is also famous for traveling to war-torn countries such as Lebanon to pray for peace. When he travels he often carries a twelve-foot cross. He has carried a 12 foot cross in every nation on earth and in almost every island group and territory for a total of 308 nations, island groups and territories. He is in the Guinness World Records for the "world's longest walk" now one and a half times around the earth at the equator, 37,352 miles. , A 2-inch cross has been cut from his 12-foot cross and is planned to be launched into space.
