Arthenia Joyner is a Democratic member of the Florida Senate, representing the 18th District since 2007. Previously she was a member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing the 59th District from 2001 through 2006.

On May 31, 2008, Senator Joyner argued on behalf of the Clinton campaign for seating the delegation from Florida at the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
