Artemisia, Zakynthos

Artemisia (Αρτεμισία) is a municipality of Zakynthos, Greece. It is on the central west coast of the island. It has a land area of 104.890 km² and a 2001 census population of 4,517 inhabitants. Its municipal seat is the town of Machairádon (pop. 925). Other large towns are Romírion (478), Lagópodon (438), Ágios Léon (428), Lagkadákia (400), Koilioménos (384), and Vougiáton (340).
