Artepiazza is a video game development and computer graphics studio based in Japan.
Their name derives from the Italian words for "art" and "a public square". The company started operations in 1997. They are best known for doing the artwork for the Dragon Quest video game series. Artepiazza's works include: Dragon Quest III Super Famicom Version. They most recently developed the PlayStation 2 enhanced remake of Dragon Quest V.
From 2004 to 2005, Shintaro Majima lead Artepiazza in the graphic design of Innocent Life. The game went on sale in April 2006 (Mid-2007 overseas).
Other projects besides those based on Square Enix properties, includes a co-production with Koei, an action RPG called Opoona for the Wii console. The approximate release timetable is summer 2007 in Japan.
It was announced on July 31, 2007, that Artepiazza would be developing advanced ports of Dragon Quest IV, Dragon Quest V, and Dragon Quest VI for the Nintendo DS.
