Art McFarland

Arthur McFarland (born 1948) is an educational reporter for WABC-TV in New York City. Originally a sports reporter, for the past few years, McFarland has distributed that his journalistic skills are not limited to just one aspect of American Life.
Art joined the Eyewitness News team in August of 1983 and is currently the longest running reporter at the station, next to Jim Dolan who joined in 1986. In the 1980’s, McFarland was an investigative reporter for the station, who helped get children’s injustices and unfair treatment exposed by state officials. Art McFarland also traveled to South Africa to report on an anniversary of Nelson Mandela and his race to the presidency.
McFarland resides in New Jersey with his wife, children and grandchildren.
