[edit] Compromise

I'm sorry if at all you feel harrassed by this, but my only intention was to ensure that a high standard is maintained by the article. If you click on the State of Khayrpur article and then click the History tab at the top you should be able to see that I started that article but that doesn't mean it is my article. I have worked towards promoting all of the former princly states of Pakistan because they are worthy of at least an article each. What I propose is that you should close down the Khairpur State article and use the discussion page on Talk:State of Khayrpur to put forward your ideas and I will help you organise them so that they do not break Wikipedia rules. Believe me, I completely understand the point of view of the Khairpur Sindh website but on Wikipedia we have to avoid some of the language the website uses. By the way you're not that computer illiterate if you are able to use a computer :P Green Giant 13:32, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

Just so you know, the article was redirected by admins so if anyone types in Khairpur State it will take them straight to State of Khayrpur. I have copied your edition to a new page here - User:Green_Giant/sandbox/Khairpur_State where it can be edited and moved towards wikipedia standards gradually. I hope you will help because with some editing much of the material could be included in the history section of State of Khayrpur. Green Giant 01:25, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
Arsalan, you are the inexplicable Homer Simpson of Khairpur :P - I didn't start the State of Khayrpur page for the fun of it, but because I was interested in highlighting the existence of the state and it's companions like Bahawalpur etc. If all you wanted was attention on the history, you could have just pointed out the website instead of expending efforts on a separate page. The green in my name refers to agriculture and nature and not the green of Pakistan's flag. Green Giant 23:43, 28 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Budget Speech-a.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Budget Speech-a.JPG. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Hetar 18:42, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Pak-on-14th-August.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Pak-on-14th-August.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 22:06, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Budget-speech.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Budget-speech.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 17:50, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Pak-Khairpur_Flags.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Pak-Khairpur_Flags.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 03:04, 8 November 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jusjih 03:04, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
