  1. Arrondissement of Meaux, (subprefecture: Meaux) with 8 cantons and 128 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 231,658 in 1990, and was 258,365 in 1999, an increase of 11.53%.
  2. Arrondissement of Melun, (prefecture of the Seine-et-Marne department: Melun) with 10 cantons and 91 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 304,806 in 1990, and was 334,950 in 1999, an increase of 9.89%.
  3. Arrondissement of Provins, (subprefecture: Provins) with 9 cantons and 165 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 105,384 in 1990, and was 112,020 in 1999, an increase of 6.3%.
