The 2 arrondissements of the Creuse department are:
- Arrondissement of Aubusson, (subprefecture: Aubusson) with 12 cantons and 118 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 43,078 in 1990, and was 39,993 in 1999, a decrease of 7.16%.
- Arrondissement of Guéret, (prefecture of the Creuse department: Guéret) with 15 cantons and 142 communes. The population of the arrondissement was 88,271 in 1990, and was 84,477 in 1999, a decrease of 4.3%.
