Arquata Scrivia is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Alessandria in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 100 km southeast of Turin and about 35 km southeast of Alessandria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 5,848 and an area of 23.4 km².[1]
The municipality of Arquata Scrivia contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Rigoroso, Sottovalle[2], Varinella, and Vocemola.
Arquata Scrivia borders the following municipalities: Gavi, Grondona, Isola del Cantone, Serravalle Scrivia, and Vignole Borbera.
