Aroma Township is in Kankakee County, Illinois. The population was 5,835 at the 2000 census. The township includes Aroma Park and the southeast quarter of Kankakee.
It is located at 41.083500 N, -87.790936 W. It has 96.48 km² (37 sq mi). (37.25 square miles) of land and 2.2 km² (1 sq mi). (0.85 square miles) covered by water. It has 2,182 housing units.
Aroma township includes the Iroquois Woods Nature Preserve and Strasma Park.

The township is governed by an elected Town Board of a Supervisor and four Trustees. The Township also has an elected Assessor, Clerk, Highway Commissioner and Supervisor. The Township Office is located at 3955 South 3250 East Road, St. Anne, IL 60964.
