Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Someone must have been lazy, as you have not been welcomed yet. Thank you for your contributions. Since you have been here for a while, we can pretty much assume you are not a troll, vandal, or clueless newbie. I hope you continue to like the place and don't get all grumpy and leave over nothing. Here are a few good links for newcomers, even though you aren't one:
- How to edit a page
- Editing, policy, conduct, and structure tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- The Five Pillars of Wikipedia
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
- Merging, redirecting, and renaming pages
- If you're ready for the complete list of Wikipedia documentation, there's also Wikipedia:Topical index.
I hope you still enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian, and won't get mad over something stupid and leave! By the way, please be sure to continue to sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, or three tildes (~~~) for just your name. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome, and sorry for your not being welcomed in the past! [edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Mmc1-con-wcache.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Mmc1-con-wcache.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 16:38, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] AMD Userboxes
A friend of mine on Wikipedia, has suggested that we put all of the AMD Userboxes into one template and then let it's user, customize it to their needs, since you are the creator of the AMD XP userbox, ( I hope ! ) I would ask you if you wanted to be a part of this ? Don't worry if you don't want to do any of it, I shall take care of everything. Please respond as soon as possible ! Rugby471 17:28, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Silly question...=
I'm looking for the phrase "This page intentionally left blank" translated into various languages, so as I stumble on native speakers of various languages, I will ask. It used to be common in manuals reflecting pages deleted by revision, or provison for more pages in a section in future. User:Alex Law/This page intentionally left blank. [edit] Cacofiend
The article refered to is currently on Afd but has been previously speedied twice. Deletion edit summary is sometimes automatically in the edit summary box and sometimes a copy and paste part of the text into it. In this case the entire body of the text was included in as it stood. I assure you I didn't include that manually. Thanks.--Dakota ~ ° 14:47, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
- I couldn't either because deletion takes it all out. Think it may have been vandalized. Thanks--Dakota ~ ° 23:49, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
- No problem. If you need any help let me know. Cheers.--Dakota ~ ° 00:00, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia_talk:Censorship
A revised version of the proposed policy against censorship is now open for voting. Will you kindly review the policy and make your opinions known? Thank you very much. Loom91 11:26, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Why RfD?
I have put a prod insert for the Chrome_programming_language that is a spam because it is a commercial compiler and not a language, and you suggest RfD. Why, please? I plan AfD instead! Spankman 14:30, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
