From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not take my listing your article on Vfd personally - it's just that we generally expect some level of notability before people can have an article on here (althouigh there is constant debate as to exactly what level of notability is required :), and articles written by people about themselves are generally thought to be a rather bad idea (you're probably never going to be fully objective in your self description, and once you achieved some notability, others will probably write an article about you). "Vanity" is just the common term we use for that and does not imply any sinister motives on your part :P
Oh, and to attach a signature to your comments, just type four tilde symbols after your text like this: ~~~~. You can edit the displayed text in your user preferences. -- Ferkelparade π 11:30, 27 Jan 2005 (UTC)
[edit] User:Arnoldo
I've added the "{{prod}}" template to your user page (User:Arnoldo), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy).
Please note that the purpose of a user page is not as a personal homepage or used as a general webhosting service, but as a way for active editors of Wikipedia to introduce themselves to other editors. If you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues here or on my user talk page. You may remove the deletion notice, and the page will not be deleted for the moment, but note that it may still be sent to Miscellany for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria.
