[edit] Re: User talk:Ioeth#Learning as I go.

That's no problem at all. Everybody on Wikipedia has to go through that learning period at some point in time. If you have any questions in the future, feel free to ask me and I'll try to reply as soon as possible. Happy editing! Ioeth (talk contribs friendly) 21:32, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Cellular Authentication Token has been deleted

Recently I've made an entry regarding the Cellular Authentication Token technology. That technology is an alternative to strong authentication hardware tokens. Believing that the purpose of Wikipedia is to provide factual information I have added to the technology description the patents report location and the fact that it was recognized by a number of leading companies and awarded.

To avoid potential spamming I've adopted a format approved by Wikipedia to describe the technology and product. I've taken a similar product page and adopted the format.

To my surprise, the entry was removed from Wikipedia.

It seems that Wikipedia will not tolerate information (even if it can be authenticated) coming from innovative smaller companies. Wikipedia is turning to be a platform for established large enterprises. It is OK to have a full product page of a large enterprise, but the alternative, is closed down.

The result is that when a user enters Wikipedia and seeks information he sees only part of the picture. Emerging technologies are hidden from him favoring old technologies.

I believe this is a mistaken approach by Wikipedia and hope they will realize that users would like to see all the alternatives. Arnneisp1 (talk) 21:50, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
