Welcome!

Hello, Arne, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I saw the text you added to functionally graded material. It is a good start, but I wonder whether you could integrate your text with the text that was already there. An article should be one unit, and at the moment it is a rather incoherent collection of paragraphs.

All articles here are the results of collaboration and thus they belong to the community. Therefore we don't sign or put our names at articles. This is described in more detail at Wikipedia:Ownership of articles, especially the section "Don't sign what you don't own". I thus removed your name from the article; interested parties can find exactly who wrote what by clicking on the history tab at the top of every article.

Anyway, I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some more pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. Thanks for the intro. Did not know and now have edited the functionally graded material to be more consistant and coherent. Hope to help Wikipedia in the field of engineering. --Arne Schwarck (talk) 13:55, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

It's clearly better now, thanks. -- Jitse Niesen (talk) 20:41, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
