Talk:Arnold Cipher
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
120.9.7 would refer to the 120th page, 9th line on that page, and the seventh word in that line, which in this case is "George".
How can this be true if the translation provided renders 120.9.7 as General?
Which is correct?
Well, the first translation is likely from a different book than the text of the letter.

Could someone please link this page to 'Ottendorf Cipher' so that if anyone searches Ottendorf Cipher they get redirected to here?
I don't suppose you could provide a source that it really was called the "Ottendorf Cipher"? I've heard that name mentioned in the film National Treasure, and I'm slightly concerned we might be mixing fact with fiction here (see also Dan Brown's confused "Caesar Box"). — Matt Crypto 20:09, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
The example in this article appears to be incomplete. What is the book the example uses?--T. Thorgaard 13:31, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
