Blogging is a major hobby of mine. Because of it, I've met some of the most interesting people I've ever known. As a byproduct, I've become extremely proficient in HTML. The following is a short outline of my blogging activities.
- I maintain my primary journal at DeadJournal (I'm planning a heavy rewrite on its article, by the way). Strictly by the numbers as of July 8, 2005, my journal is 99.3% Public, so you're welcome to stop by and have a read or comment anytime. My journal is nothing too special. It is, for the most part, simply a journal of daily events. On occasion it'll contain a rant or two, or a useful piece of information.
- I am currently very active in the DeadJournal Support area ("Helping Lamers for Fun and Profit"!). We're a pretty small group of experienced users who dedicate spare time to help keep the site running. We maintain the FAQs, catch and report bugs, and assist users requesting help. I'm currently an "inexperienced" L2, meaning I have some extended capabilities on the user support requests, and a little credibility.
- I maintain a much, much less active journal at LiveJournal. I use it primarily to comment in political communities. I had once considered poking around in Support...but, my God, the LiveJournal support board terrifies me.
- LiveJourbal.net
- (I'm planning an article for this, as it's grown to well over 10,000 users, which should hopefully qualify as notable.) Well, my journal is not very active. I post in it occasionally just to make it look nice. The primary reason I exist on LiveJourbal is Support. I caught the site very early, less than a week after creation, and immediately got started in Support. I already explained what Support does, so, here's what I currently do:
-
- "Action" privs in all public categories
- "Manage" privs in Customization and General/Unknown
- Tier-D Abuse team member
- Spanish Translation Team member
- FAQ Add and Edit capabilities
-
- But, really, for all those capabilities, I sure don't do much...
