Army of Me is an Alternative rock band formed in Washington, D.C.

Officially formed in 2002, vocalist Vince Scheuerman and bassist John Hutchins grew up together in a religious community based in Gaithersburg, Maryland. As they grew frustrated with trying to live and operate in the mainstream culture, they turned to music as their outlet. They started playing in various bands together at the age of 17. They met drummer Dennis Manuel and later added guitarist Brad Tursi (formerly of Ki:Theory) to complete the quartet. Previous bass players include John Hutchins and Conrado Bokoles.

The band was originally known as Cactus Patch. Under that name they released at least 3 self-released EPs on CD-Rs and one self-titled album. They changed their name to Army of Me not long after winning the WHFS Big Break contest which granted them an opening slot at the 2001 HFStival.

The band's single "Going Through Changes" has been featured in the video games MLB 06: The Show and Burnout Paradise. It has also been featured on the PS2 game Burnout dominator.
