Armen Tigranian

Armen Tigranian (1879-1950) [1] was a Armenian music composer. His best-known works were the operas Anoush and Davik-Bek. The composer, Armen Tigranian is famous for two national operas, the Anoush opera and the timeless and inspiring David-Beg, which was his last work, only months before his death.

The meliks of Karabakh inspired the historical novels The Melikdoms of Khamsa (1882) and David Bek (1882) by Raffi, the opera David Bek (1950) by Armen Tigranian and the novel Mkhitar Sparapet (1961) by Sero Khanzadyan. Jack Hacikyan, Agop (2005). [2]
