[edit] Scholarly study of Armed Forces & Society
Armed Forces & Society has been the subject of multiple scholarly publications. Ender (2001) examined the characteristics of the authorship of the journal's first 25 volumes, exploring such factors as the "author-article ratio", sex, nationality, and academic discipline.[2] Camacho and Atwood (2007) reviewed the entirety of works regarding veterans published by the journal in the period 1974-2006.[3]
The journal was also studied in at least three research projects written for Texas State University's Public Administration Program.[4][5][6]
