ARMANDO ROMERO
B. 1964 Mexico
Armando Romero was born in Mexico City and studied at the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Graphics, Mexico City. Romero found the need to venture outside of Mexico to gain support for his art, and in doing so has found a growing foundation of collectors worldwide. A neoeclectic painter, Romero, combines his versions of historic paintings by legendary artists, such as Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Goya, and Bosch, with irreverent contemporary images, allowing emotion and reason free range.
