Armageddon was a hard rock band formed in 1975 in England. The supergroup was comprised of drummer Bobby Caldwell, previously a member of Captain Beyond, singer Keith Relf, who had fronted the enormously influential Yardbirds as well as having been a co-founder of Renaissance, guitarist Martin Pugh, of Steamhammer fame, and bassist Louis Cennamo, also formerly of Renaissance and Steamhammer. They released only one album, the self-titled Armageddon, which was recorded in England and released in the United States on A&M Records. The band played only a few gigs to promote the album, and as a result, it was largely ignored.

Soon after the album's release, Relf died in an accident when he electrocuted himself while playing his electric guitar. Deprived of their lead singer and song co-writer, the group disbanded.

In a 2001 interview with Bobby Caldwell he mentioned that Armageddon played only a few shows in California this due to the band's manager absence during that time. Due to this, the band was not promoted properly and album sales suffered.
