[edit] Siegfried (basis:Synolda)

Why did you remove Siegfried from this page? He is from Own Character Ideas And Images. Felix 18:46, 20 July 2006

Felix, the answer is the same here as it is everywhere. You cannot include any of those characters in any Wikipedia article as they are fan fiction. Adding any of those characters to an article would be vandalism. Gwernol 23:48, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

I see. Felix 9:25, 21 July 2006

In Own Character Ideas And Images, it's claimed Siegfried is a tender engine and is painted blue (like Bert) and has an Atlantic (4-4-2) wheel format. However, in the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, there was a locomotive with a tender, painted blue and has a 4-4-2 wheel configuration. The locomotive is Synolda. I think Siegfried is probably based on Synolda. Felix 18:20, 26 July 2006

[edit] Merchandise

How come Mike and Frank are the only Arlesdale engines in Learning Curve Wooden Railway, Jock and Frank in ERTL, Mike in Take-Along Thomas and Friends? I thought these ranges were suppose to release all the engines in the Arlesdale Railway. Felix 8:44, 23 July 2006

Maybe it has something to do with there being a low demand for these models as they are only book characters nad not in the TV series and seem unlikely to ever be in it however much you would like them to be and so the modelmakers have only made a limited number of Arlesdale engines. Can I contact ERTL to release Mike, Bert, Rex, Blister I, Blister II and Sigrid of Arlesdale? Felix 18:46, 24 July 2006

You do not need the permission of anyone on Wikipedia to contact ERTL. However it is likely not as simple as them "releasing" the models. Its is extremely unlikely the models have been made, so they would have to create the models fromn scratch which would cost them thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars. This has all been explained to you before on more than one occasion. Gwernol 23:50, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

So, always ask permission to ERTL's website to release Ernest, Wilfred, Shane Dooiney, Alaric, Eric, Mike, Bert, Rex, Blister I, Blister II and Sigrid of Arlesdale. Felix 18:57, 24 July 2006

[edit] Leader?

Who is the leader of the Arlesdale railway engines? Mike, Bert of Rex? Felix 10:08, 15 August 2006

There is no "leader". Mike is the grumpy one, Rex is the joker, Bert is the youngster. The Small Controller is in charge of them. Tom.

[edit] Arlesdale End - possible ref from TV Series?

A recent edit (since removed) noted that:

The railway never appeared in the The TV Series, although a location Arlesdale End was mentioned in the Season 10 episode Toby's New Shed.

According to the entry in Fictional Locations (Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends), Arlesdale was the location of Toby's branch line before he came to Sodor (apparently mentioned in Season 1). In which case there is no real reason to link 'Arlesdale End' with the Arlesdale Railway on Sodor.

However, proof to the contrary is welcome.
