Arka Gdynia started the new season (2005-2006) in the 1st league:
- Arka Gdynia - Legia Warszawa 0:0
Effective immediately the team got suspended by PZPN for a month due to corruption. The team will not be allowed to compete in the Orange Extraklasa, League Cup and Polish Cup. All games will be awarded a walk-over ( 0:3 ) for the opposite team. Arka will not be able to play in 5 Orange Extraklasa games. Rules state that if a team does not compete in 3 consecutive Extraklasa games it gets expelled and relegated 2 levels of competition (3rd division).
Eventually, the team was forced to subsidise the development of local young players (the sum reaching 200.000 zlotys) and will begin the 2007-2008 season in the 2nd division with penalty points (supposed to be minus 5 points).
Arka has been relegated to 2nd division.
