Welcome!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Ario! My name is Ryan, aka Acetic Acid. I noticed that you were new and haven't received any messages yet. I just wanted to see how you were doing. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it uses different formatting than other sites that use HTML and CSS. In the long run, though, you'll find that the WikiSyntax is a lot easier and faster than those other ways. Here are a few links to get you started:

There are a lot of policies and guides to read, but I highly recommend reading over those first. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Please be sure to sign your name on Talk Pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, along with a link to your user page. This way, others know when you left a message and how to find you. It's easier than having to type out your name, right? :)

I hope you enjoy contributing to Wikipedia. We can use all the help we can get! Have a nice day. Sincerely, Acetic Acid (talk) 06:41, August 31, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Deletion process

I noticed your talk comment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of The Daily Show guests, so I thought I'd give the answer a shot. Since the list is under {{afd}}, it follows the Wikipedia:Guide to Articles for deletion. The "closure" section is described there as well (it's basically a period of voting time, and then an administrator determines when a rough consensus has been reached, and then acts accordingly. Hope that helps! --Mcmillin24 01:20, September 6, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] List of the Daily Show guests AFD

Since you voted on the previous AFD (here) I thought you may wish to vote again on the article's second AFD: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of The Daily Show guests (2nd nomination). Cburnett 01:08, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Pinball1973.jpg

Thank you for uploading Image:Pinball1973.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 16:06, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
