User talk:Arianakrantzite/Bootstrap productions
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
PLEASE DON'T DELETE!!! The Bootstrap Productions Wiki was tagged for deletion within three minutes of my original post. I have been working with the poet/artist Ariana Krantzite, and together we have substantially added to the site and would very much appreciate it not being deleted. This is a legitimate non-profit small press. The press is doing excellent work and, though we have met the publishers, we are not directly connected to the day-to-day operations of Bootstrap Productions. Furthmore, if you look at the page's internal links you will find that Bootstrap is not simply surrounding themselves with unnammed people. Bootstrap has published important New American Poets including Bernadette Mayer, Bill Corbett, Joanne Kyger, Lisa Jarnot, Jerome Rothenberg, etc.Tommorgan5 02:38, 9 March 2007 (UTC) (I figured out how to sign... Thanks for the heads up).
Hi, I don't know this fellow who posted the above (please sign your posts) but the link to the news article states that this production company received a $1000 grant from a regional arts committee to continue with their publishing. It sounds as if they are indeed a bona fide literary magazine and/or small press. 67.10.133.121 23:29, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Additionally... My guess is that the person who timed this for a speedy deletion assumed that "Naropa University’s Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics" is not a legitimate program of higher learning, which it is. Kerouac wrote in a similar stream of consciousness manner; here's a PR release about the school: http://www.naropa.edu/news/pressreleases/archive/pr030906.html Basically, you could argue that the organization is not notable enough, but that would put it as an article for deletion, not a speedy delete. 67.10.133.121 23:36, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
