The Arizona Flame are an International Basketball League team. The team started playing home games at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum, a venue much larger than most IBL venues, but later moved their games to Grand Canyon University. The Flame were Phoenix's first minor league basketball team since the Phoenix Eclipse folded after the 2001-2002 ABA season. They are owned by Stephen Moss-Kelley, a former IBL all-star himself. The Owners of the Phoenix Flame will also be the owners of the new IBL team in Arizona, the Arizona Lightning.
