Aristolochia littoralis (Calico Flower, Elegant Dutchman's Pipe) is an evergreen vine with large, heart-shaped flowers. The plant is native to Brazil, and is an invasive species in the southern United States and Australia where it kills the caterpillars of the threatened Richmond Birdwing Butterfly.
Flowers are large and trumpet shaped with intricate brown markings, winged seeds are borne in dry capsules that split like small parachutes. Plants in the related genus Pararistolochia differ by having fleshy moist fruit that do not split.
