Arindam

Arindam is Sanskrit for the man who has won all his enemies. According to Hindu mythology, the tragic hero Indrajit, son of Ravana, the asura king of Lanka, got this title after he conquered his enemies. In Eastern part of India, Arindam is a popular name among the Bengalis. In Bengali, it is pronounced as "O-Reen-Dom" and is sometimes spelt as "Arindom" or "Aurindam".
It is one of the many names which has the word Ari (enemy) as the root.
Arindam is also a name of Lord Shiva (a hindu god).
