The Aridai, also known as "The Christian Order of the Aridai", is a universal Christian unity and "mutual Christian benefit" organization founded by Jacob L. Culberson in January of the year 2000 to combat the ever-increasing distance between denominational separation in the Christian Church. The principal role of the Aridai is to unite Christian believers from all denominations and sects into an all-encompassing body for the promotion of the Christian world view and to empower the Christian body as a whole.
A principal group of comparability to the Aridai would be the well-known "Free Masons". The Aridai seem to operate in a level of confidentiality with their members, but are in no way a secret society like the Free Masons.
Though the Aridai are relatively new to the world, they claim to have their founding with the original Christian Church of the first century.
More information on the Aridai may be gained from their website, aridai.com.
[edit] Aridai Membership
All Aridai members are sworn never to reveal their numbers to the outside world and it is therefore impossible to know just how powerful the Aridai have become in recent years. Though the numbers of Aridai membership are unknown, they have become a significant part of Christianity today and are influential in their communities, states, and in the United States government itself. Though the Aridai deny any participation in the political world, it seems that their influence can be felt throughout the nation.[citation needed]
[edit] Aridai Leadership
Though the Aridai were founded by Jacob L. Culberson he intentionally stepped down from any leadership role within the Order, setting up a presbytery called "The Aridai Council" to organize the group. The Aridai Council is made up of twelve elders of the Aridai which are elected by Aridai members every four years. Jacob L. Culberson has been elected as an Aridai Councilor since his role in founding the Order, but we are unable to assertain any names of the other Aridai Council members at this time.
