Ari Porth

Ari Abraham Porth is a Democratic Party representative on the Florida House of Representatives for District 96. He was born in 1970. After attending public schools in both Florida and Michigan, Porth graduated from Northeastern University and received his law degree from Nova Southeastern University. He has been active in Democratic politics for many years as the chairman of the Coral Springs Area Democratic Club, a member of the Broward Democratic Executive Committee, and a volunteer for several Democratic candidates. Since 1995, he has served as an Assistant State Attorney for Broward County, where he tries juveniles and adults for crimes against property and person. Porth currently heads the Truancy Division, where he works to improve school attendance in partnership with law enforcement, schools, children, parents, and the courts.
In 2004, Porth was elected to the Florida House of Representatives by the residents of Coral Springs, Tamarac, Lauderhill, Sunrise, and North Lauderdale in Broward County, Florida. He serves on the Business Regulation, Criminal Justice, Domestic Security, and Growth Management committees; he also serves as a Democratic whip.
Porth lives with his wife, Tatyana, in Coral Springs, Florida.
