Please do not edit this for the time being. Feel free to make use of the material presented here where appropriate, and to discuss what's here on the talk page. I've moved other people's additions from here to there. There is an RfC in progress regarding Sir Nick, so it's probably more appropriate to post additional material directly about him at that page. [edit] does not understand policy

  • The user Mahlenmahlen must mention on his YouTube page which shows the clip, or on his user page, if YouTube provides one; that he is either free-licensing it or releasing it in the creative-commons. Such assertions that he was the uploader of the file on YouTube cannot be under any terms of reasonability be accepted.[1]
  • What exactly are you talking about? We do not need consensus on Talk:Barrington Hall for deciding if we need to keep YouTube video links on this website. [2]
  • YouTube links are not reliable as any person with an internet connection can upload a file on their website.[3]
  • Unless the video's copyrights are exclusively owned by YouTube, no – you cannot link to the site.[4]
  • YouTube links are either copyright infringements or not reliable.[5]

[edit] repeated deletions with failure to discuss

Legitimate dispute, resolved by unambiguously clarifying the copyright status of the video (which is what should have been done in the first place) Guy (Help!) 10:05, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] incivility

  • You are just not willing to cease your disruption? Get over it.[9]
  • This user has not only assumed bad faith with me by putting a vandalism warning on my talk page; and then goes on to ruleslawyer about WP:EL, when it is clearly stating the obvious. It is obvious that he does not understand the policies and guidelines provided on Wikipedia..[10][11]
  • Can you tutor me as to how to deal with those "clueless newbies" who do not understand the copyright laws? [12]

[edit] lies

  • Yes, Tvoz, there is a difference of opinion on this matter, and all the administrators who are comfortably aware of the policies and guidelines of this place have their reasons as to why YouTube links should be removed. • Please do not disrupt Wikipedia. A consensus has been reached on the WP:ANI page.[14]
