Argentina first participated at the Olympic Games in 1900.

Argentinian athletes have won a total of 60 medals at the Summer Olympic Games, mostly in boxing. The nation has not won any medals at the Winter Olympic Games.

The National Olympic Committee for Argentina was created and recognized in 1923.
