Argenis Fernández is a Costa Rican football forward currently playing for Major League Soccer club New England Revolution.[1] Fernández played for Costa Rica in the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup held in Canada. The Revolution reportedly paid a $200,000 transfer fee to Santos de Guápiles, although other reports claim the amount was less. Fernández became the first player to transfer internationally in MLS.
Fernández made his Revolution debut on April 12, 2008, coming on as a half-time substitute in the match against Colorado Rapids.
