Talk:Area codes 416 and 647

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't 10-digit dialing occur in the 416 during the 416/905 split? (not for the 647 overlay...)
since I wasnt corrected, I corrected the article ;> 216.234.58.18 00:51, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- No that's not right. There was seven diget dialing for years after the 416/905 split; I don't remember the 905 split, but I grew up with 7-digit dialing. The 647 code needed 10-digit dialing because 416 and 647 are on top of each other, whereas 905 is geographically separate.
- i do remember teh 416/905 split , and i do remember that for a time 7 -digit dialing worked , and then 10-digit dialing became mandatory. but, because i dont care too much, i'm not going to re-revert your reversion.216.234.58.18 22:18, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- see, for example, http://www.wtng.info/wtng-1-ca.html , at the very bottom. 216.234.58.18 22:21, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Inconsistent title
The title for this page is inconsistent with the pages for the 905/289 and 519/226.
The other two are in the format "Area codes 519 and 226". I think that one of the two title styles should be picked. Ergosteur (talk) 17:03, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
