Area code 772

Area code 772 serves the state of Florida. It covers Vero Beach, Port Saint Lucie, Fort Pierce, Sebastian, Stuart and other areas in central eastern Florida. The area code split from the area code 561 when there was a need for more phone numbers (due in part to the increase of cell phone users). Notice that this area has been in area code 305, then 407, then 561, then 772.
