Area code 520
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
North American area code 520 is a state of Arizona telephone area code which was created in a split from area code 602 on March 19, 1995, for the rest of the state outside of the Greater Phoenix metropolitan area. 520 itself was split on June 23, 2001, creating area code 928, due mainly to population gains in Tucson, Yuma and Flagstaff. It was the third area code in the United States to have a number other than 0 or 1 as the second digit. (Area codes 334 and 360 went into effect on January 15, 1995.)
