User talk:Ardonik/I ate my cat

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Is your cat a male or female? It matters in some languages.

Hmm. Good question. I have no culinary preference, but I'll put a note on the page that the cat should be a male cat. --Ardonik.talk()* 03:43, Sep 20, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Time travel

I love this page! A truly brilliant contigency plan. I noticed that the dead language Latin was included in the list of languages. This, of course, makes your plan all the stronger, as the plan covers temporal teleportation as well. To this end, I've added an Old English translation in case of time travel to 6th century Britain. (PS - "Hƿæt!" is an attention-getting word, often translated as "Lo!" It's the first word of Beowulf, so I figured it would be good to include as an option. Cave emptor: I doubt my translation is perfect.) • Benc • 03:26, 21 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Outstanding. There can be no argument that the more translations I have, the better prepared I shall be to implement the Master Plan. (Incidentally, if Old English is as dead as you say, then why the heck do you know how to write it?!) --Ardonik.talk()* 04:30, Sep 21, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] U.S. centric

I vehemently oppose the U.S.-centricity of this plan. It should be NPOV'd so that it can be used by others like me. -- Paddu 14:50, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Stop! The neutrality of this article is disputed.

[edit] Con Langs?

Say, do they have to be real languages? What if you're ported to the middle of a StarTrek convention? or some no-name's imagination? Are conlangs allowed?

Sorry I'm anon. Too lazy to sign up right yet. :P
