[edit] Summary

An ARDF map used in the 2003 USA Amateur Radio Direction Finding Championship held near Cincinnati, Ohio. The straight black lines on the map are bearings, each an observed direction to a transmitter, taken by the competitor while on course and used to help make decisions about route choices. On top of the map is an eighty meter ARDF receiver built by Dale Hunt WB6BYU from a design later published in the amateur radio journal QST. The magnetic compass is typical of the variety used in ARDF competitions for navigation through the woods.
