I have been a user of Wikipedia for some time now. I didn't register a user name right away, and I didn't get involved in any editing right after I registered an account. In that respect, I was slow to get involved with Wikipedia even though I have known about it for some time. I was compelled to get more involved with Wikipedia to keep garbage off articles and keep vandalism to a minimum.

Operating Systems: DOS, Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows 2000 Server, Windows XP, Mac OS X 10.4
Websites: Just enough HTML to put something basic together and make minor changes
Programming Experience: Flow charts, Psuedo code, Programming logic, and Visual Basic.net. I do not like programming, and with the exception of HTML, have no desire to become proficient in a programming language.

[edit] Switching to Mac

I have been familiar with and have used a Mac since 1985. My most common experience with a Mac was in various public schools from about the 3rd grade all the way to my junior year of high school. However, my family always had a PC at home because that's what my dad prefered. When I finally bought my first computer, I got an eMahines because they were cheap. From there, I kept buying PCs to I could keep using my existing applications and games.

My interest in Mac was revivied when I heard about OS X. When a friend, Doug, told me he had switched to Mac severak years ago, my interest only became stronger. Finally in November of 2006, I ordered a Mac Book. I had no intention of switching to Mac. In Janurary of 2007, I sold my Dell Desktop and am now waiting for the release of OS X 10.5 to buy an iMac. I will still use Windows XP via Bootcamp, but only so I can play my games.

My interest in games on the computer is usually in 2 categories. First person shooters and MMOs. This includes the classic Doom games, Doom 3, Half life 2, World of Warcraft, and Final Fantasy Online. For other types of games, I prefer consoles.
